Gwendolyn Black is a Law Clerk for Mendoza Law. Her role is to conduct legal and legislative research and litigation support for Mendoza Law’s clients. Gwen is a second-career law student attending Mitchell Hamline School of Law. Prior to entering the legal field, Gwen worked in the energy sector. Gwen also has a background working for nonprofit organizations, law offices, and elected officials.


Gwen’s robust experience includes researching procedural posture and evaluating the viability of post-conviction claims, writing briefs and pleadings for clients, analyzing the effects of legislative policies, advocating for community organizations, consulting and strategizing on legislation, and conducting public education campaigns on a variety of subject matters. Gwen's research and writing skills make her a valuable asset to Mendoza Law.
